Elevate your handwriting into a sophisticated art form. This workshop bridges the gap between traditional penmanship and contemporary graphic design, offering young artists a technical foundation in the discipline of Typography.

Over five sessions, students will transition from graphite sketches to master the complexities of fluid ink, exploring how letterforms influence the world of visual communication.

• Technical Mastery: Guided instruction on the assembly and use of Quill pens and various Calligraphy nibs, including the specialized Emperor nib for advanced ink flow.

• Design Literacy: An introduction to essential Graphic Design terminology, covering concepts such as kerning, hierarchy, and font anatomy.

• Precision Crafting: Utilizing Bristol paper and architectural tools (rulers/pencils) to execute clean, professional-grade layouts.

• Ink Mechanics: Understanding the chemistry and physics of working with dip pens, pressure control, and nib maintenance.
